Manitoba is Canada’s gateway to the West. Located in the geographic central region of the country, MB is one of the most stable, safe, and prosperous locations in Canada. Blessed with sweeping natural landscapes, plentiful natural resources, and a friendly disposition, this province with a population of just over 1 million people is an attractive destination for immigrants from around the world. While immigration is never easy, there are many programs that can help you. One of those is the Manitoba provincial nominee program for investing in a business.

What is it?

The MPNP-B is a stream designed to help nominate qualified people that wish to reside in the province, and make significant investments into new or existing businesses. In order to get into the program you need to submit your intent, and many qualified individuals are invited to reply by receiving a Letter of Advice to Apply. With this program, you will be able to be directly streamlined into residency due to your qualifications. This program is dedicated to helping both the immigrants and the province as a whole.

What are the requirements?

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:

·         Have a net worth of $350,000 CAD

·         Have a minimum of 3 years business ownership experience, management experience or executive-level experience within the past 5 years.

·         Commit to making a business investment in Manitoba.

·         Be proficient in English and French.

·         Score a minimum of 60 points in the adaptability assessment matrix.

What is the Adaptability Assessment Matrix?

AAM is a method of determining how valuable your skills are. It involves your business knowledge, age, experience, language abilities, and net worth.

What else should an applicant know?

All applicants are required to submit a deposit of $10,000 CAD. When the applicant has met the terms and conditions, the deposit will be refunded.

There are many reasons why someone would want to relocate to Manitoba, or Canada in general. A thriving economy, beautiful nature, and friendly people are just the tip of the ice burg. There are programs in place such as the MPNP-B to help you, and this is just one of the many initiatives from our government to help streamline the process. If you are looking to migrate to Canada, then this program for individuals with a high net worth might be just what you need to settle permanently.
